Eric specializes in commercial insurance, working alongside businesses to craft their individualized insurance programs. Having obtained his CLCS, Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist, Eric is extremely qualified to work with any of your business needs. Programs include property, commercial auto, general liability, workers compensation and inland marine along with specialized programs for professional (errors and omissions), directors and officers, pollution, special events and many more.
Eric’s a lifetime member of the Eau Claire community, graduating from Memorial High School where he participated in football, hockey & baseball. After graduating from Memorial Eric attended UW-Milwaukee for 2 years before transferring to UW-Eau Claire where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Upon graduating from UWEC, Eric took a position at Midwest Manufacturing’s Extrusion Plant, where he worked throughout college, working his way up to assistant plant manager before making a career change. In September 2012 Eric joined his father Dave at Strobel Insurance and in 2023 Eric became a partial owner in the Agency.
Eric has stayed involved in the community as a member of the Eau Claire Chamber’s Young Professional’s of the Chippewa Valley where he sat on the leadership board for several years. He also enjoys coaching Eau Claire Youth Hockey.
Outside work Eric enjoys almost anything outdoors, especially hunting & fishing, golf and even lawn care! More than anything Eric enjoys any of these activities that allow him to spend quality time with his family and friends building memories.
Eric met his wife Jessica, a graduate of North High School, while a senior at Memorial and the two were married in 2010. In 2014 Eric and Jessica welcomed daughter Evelynn; in 2018 son Ryker. Eric, Jessica, Evelynn and Ryker are joined by their dogs, the menacing mutt Todd Lee, a boxer/bluetick mix who loves his family as much as his naps and black lab Rett who could never get enough of playing fetch!
