Dave Strobel


Originally from Antigo, Wisconsin, Dave played on two undefeated high school football teams. In his senior year, Dave was a member of the first Wisconsin playoff division 1 undefeated state football champions- the Antigo Red Robins.

Dave graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and immediately started his insurance career with Prudential Insurance. Dave then spent 17 years running an Allstate Insurance agency before opening his independent insurance agency in July, 2000.


Dave met and married his wife, Lisa, while attending college. She has an accounting and finance degree and owns the local Allstate Insurance agency, located in the same building as Dave’s Agency.

Dave and Lisa have two children. Their daughter Ashley is an emergency medicine and pediatrics physician at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland. Their son Eric is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and joined the Strobel Insurance Agency in 2012 as an agent.

Dave and Lisa have lived in Eau Claires Eastside Hill Neighborhood since 1984 and have spent years restoring their house and enjoying their gardens and landscaping.


Dave and Lisa bought a historic building in downtown Eau Claire in 2003, and then spent two years gutting and renovating the building towards its original beauty. In 2005 they both relocated their offices to the second floor of the building they now call “home.” They have received much recognition and many awards for the restoration and openly invite customers to stop in to see them and the rejuvenated historic building.


Dave had been a very active member of the community, serving 6 years on the YMCA childcare committee. He also served on the YMCA Marlin’s swim team as a board member and president.

He was an active youth sports coach when his children were growing up, from Pop Warner Football, to Little League baseball and softball. In addition, he formed and coached the Eau Claire Magic, a middle school girls traveling basketball team.

In 1997, he was elected as a charter member of the newly formed Eastside Hill Neighborhood Association, serving 9 years on the board, with the last three as President of the Association.

In April of 2013, Dave was elected to the Eau Claire City Council , as an at large Alderman. He is serving a 3 year term representing the whole City of Eau Claire.

About Eric Strobel, CLCS

Eric Strobel


Eric is a lifetime member of the Eau Claire community, having attended K through 12 at Boyd Elementary, South Middle School and Memorial High School. Eric was a member of the 1998 Eau Claire American Little League State Championship team, the first little league team in Eau Claire to win a state title and play in the regionals in Indianapolis. He played Football, Hockey and Baseball in High school.

After high school Eric attended the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee for three years before moving back to Eau Claire and graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, Eric became an Assistant Plant Manager at Midwest Manufacturing’s Extrusion Plant where he had worked throughout college. In January of 2012 Eric went back to school to get his insurance licenses and at the beginning of September 2012 joined his father Dave in business at the Strobel Insurance Agency. Shortly after starting at the agency, Eric took more classes and earned his CLCS, Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation.


Eric met his wife Jessica while in his senior year of high school although the two attended rival high schools. (Jessica attended North High School). Jessica has an Associates of Marketing from CVTC and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin- Stout and works at United Health in Eau Claire. The couple married in August of 2010, and added the first member of their family, a black lab named Copper in December of that year, and a menacing mutt named Todd in October of 2012. On January 13th, 2014 Jessica and Eric welcomed another new member of the family, daughter Evelynn Colette Strobel, the first grandchild on both sides of the family!
